DIVERSION PROGRAM
A Second Chance to Make Better Choices
The Freedom Is A Choice Diversion Program offers youth and young adults a structured, evidence-based alternative to justice system involvement. Our program focuses on accountability, personal growth, and long-term success by addressing the underlying causes of negative behaviors through mentorship, education, family engagement, and life skills development.
Led by Dr. Omar Howard and a team of experienced mentors and credible messengers, participants receive the guidance, support, and practical tools needed to build confidence, improve decision-making, and create a positive future.
Who Qualifies?
Our program serves youth and young adults who are:
- Referred by Juvenile Courts
- Referred by schools or school resource officers
- Referred by law enforcement agencies
- Referred by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
- Identified as at risk for delinquency, violence, or school suspension
- Seeking support through parent or community referrals

Program Goals
Our goal is to reduce recidivism, improve school and community engagement, strengthen families, and empower youth to become responsible, productive leaders. Every participant leaves with a personalized success plan and the skills needed to make positive choices beyond the program.
